The Glorious Beard is a production of JXB media, a not-for-profit media collective that exists to create great art in various forms.

The first incarnations of JXB Media, and Top Secret Television Productions began somewhere around the year 1995 in a very small prison-like room in a non-descript brick building on a college campus somewhere in the southern end of the heart of West By God Virginia. The mission was simple: to create media that we enjoyed regardless of whether or not anyone else did.

What that media looked like came in many forms. Whether it was video, radio, audio or graffiti… our message was heard and broadcast to anyone who was there to witness it. And if you were there, you witnessed something truly amazing and ahead of its time.

In an age before social media, before cell phones, before the internet at a stones throw… we came together whether by crews of 2 or 12 or more to create content that satisfied the masses from a small scale campus television network in the beginning, to eventually cable television that broadcast into 150 thousand households, and now to the countless numbers on the internet.

And in that time we have practically done it all.

From humble beginnings with equipment that even a Star Wars astro-mech could not have worked with, to equipment, rooms and facilities fit for national or even global television, we persevered, produced, and satisfied. We made you laugh, made you hate us, made you think. We showed you the inner workings of our twisted minds and won awards along the way.. locally, regionally and nationally. We brought you comedy, sports, information, news, and a whole lot of ridiculousness.

And today we thrive in a new format, a concept born out of the ashes of what we had done before. And we are continuing to grow. 2024 saw the birth of “The JXB radio network”, our brand new venture that combines all of our talents, ideas, and crazy together… with radio programs, podcasts, video and more.
