Neil Fallon and His Glorious Beard

For almost 35 years Germantown Maryland’s CLUTCH has given the world some of the best pure rock and roll possible. Mixing stoner metal and blues with a dab of funk and jam band noodling, Clutch has toured the world unleashing their own distinct Pure Rock Fury on a vast and dedicated fan base. And at the front of this monster is vocalist Neil Fallon and his absolutely god-tier beard.

In the early days Neil was a cleanly shaven, baby faced front man – writing lyrics drawn from folk lore, science fiction, and politics – among other inspirations – the band started out as so many bands do; playing everywhere and anywhere and slowly building an audience. In these pre and early internet days living on the road was the way to get on the radar, no instagram….no podcasts…no tiktok. Word of mouth ruled the day and CLUTCH built their reputation on the strength of their amazing, no frills, no b.s. Live shows.

As the years went on, and the miles added up, Neil’s facial hair became almost it’s own entity – and inspiring more than a few fans to grow out their own glorious beards. Today, almost 35 years into their careers, you can still find CLUTCH on the road and putting out new music. Including live album releases, collections of rarities, and proper studio albums they have released twenty six albums or E.P.s
